Social investment policies in multiethnic societies
In this class I will present and discuss recent research on the role that social investment policies can play in our increasingly muti-ethnic societies. The key focus will be on the potential of social investment to promote immigrant integration, biases in access to social investment interventions, and perceptions of deservingness in relation to typical social investment policies (e.g. childcare and active labour market policy).
Seminar 2 | 9 April 2025 | h. 13:00-15:00 | SPS Seminar Room (Passione)
Reskilling in the age of skill shortage
This class will be based on current research on how skill formation systems are being adapted to present and future re-skilling needs. The focus will be mostly on adult education and active labour market policy.
Seminar 3 | 15 April 2025 | h. 15:00-17:00 | Room A - NASP Graduate School
Skill certification as social policy
This class will focus on interventions that aim at certifying skill that can be of help to disadvantaged groups. The main focus will be on recognition of prior learning (RPL) and on microcredentials.
